The Brattleboro Fire Department is a career fire department located in Southern Vermont. The department is made up of three platoons. To become a member you must be Firefighter 1 and Emergency Medical Responder certified. Within 1 year of being hired you must live within a fifteen mile radius of Central Station at 103 Elliot Street and hold a valid CPAT card. Our firefighters work 24 hours on shift with 48 hours off shift.
